Part of your community!
We are an active, worshipping, Christian community in the Anglican tradition, with a number of worship services each week and church social events throughout the year. We welcome you to come along to a Sunday service to get to know us, and hope that you might find a spiritual home here.
But we also rent out various rooms for other events and festivities. If you are interested in finding out more about renting our facilities for your event, please do get in touch with us, either by email or by calling the church office.
The Hall is a large open area of approximately 150m2. It is possible, using the sliding doors, to divide the space into a larger and a smaller area, which can be useful for receptions and smaller occasions. The hall has a bright and spacious feeling with very high ceiling and lots of windows and a tasteful decor with warm and friendly atmosphere for parties, receptions, lectures, meetings, choir practices, or dance lessons.
Dark blue curtains adorn the windows and sliding doors. Outer doors open onto a patio terrace, which can be used when weather permits. Tables and chairs to seat 150 people are available, with additional low tables and chairs for children, and a moveable bar. The use of our piano, projector, and sound system can be included.
The Kitchen is well-equipped and available to rent for catering purposes. This includes the use of our two big (gas) stoves and ovens, fridge and freezer, and our dishwasher. We have simple wine and water glasses, kitchen utensils, cups and plates to use. Caterers enjoy using this spacious kitchen.
The Lounge is a smaller room, with seating for up to 15 people, suitable for informal meetings or gatherings. It is used for music classes and parents and baby groups, and could be used as a reception or waiting room for concerts or other events as well. The space has a light and cosy atmosphere with comfortable chairs and sofas.
The Church can be used for a group of up to 250 people. As a sacred space, any events held in the church will need careful discussion with our Chaplain. For those wishing to hold a wedding or other important life event, that is something to plan together collaboratively with our Chaplain, who may officiate. We are an Anglican church (Church of England) and welcome newcomers to get to know us. Perhaps your special occasion is an opportunity to do just that.
The church is known for its great acoustics and its warm atmosphere, and makes a good concert venue. There is a sound system to amplify speaking, with the possibility of using the projectors and screens as well, by pre-arrangement. Apart from the use of the space, the grand piano (Bechstein) can be arranged and it may be possible for our organist to play at special occasions as well.
We can offer the service of a host/verger (‘koster’) who can help with all the practical questions and facilitate with the use of the space. Please discuss your needs (microphones, use of projectors etc.) well in advance so that your event runs smoothly on the day.
Our facilities have accessibility features. In the hall we have a wheelchair accessible toilet and sloping entry ramp. In the church we have a ring-line for hearing aids and an access ramp for wheelchairs or mobility aids. The Lounge is not wheelchair accessible.
