The Anglican Church in The Hague

Getting Involved

Sundays are busy and exciting days at church, with a variety of church services and other activities for you to participate in. Contact the Church Office if you would like more information or get involved.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild prepares the altar for Holy Communion, tidying up after each service, caring for the church linens, polishing the church silver and brass to keep it shining and bright, preparing the font for baptisms and changing the church hangings to the appropriate colours according to the Christian seasons and feasts.

Audio/Video Team

The Audio/Video Team takes care of sound, video and recording of sermons during the services. Duties range from very easy (operating the projector, so people can follow the service on the screens), to moderately difficult (operating the mixing desk so the music team sounds good!). No prior technical knowledge is necessary and training will be provided for those interested in joining this team.

Choir Singing

Read more about singing in the choir.

Church Bell Ringing

A Church Bell Ringer has the important task of calling the congregation to worship, which happens before the 11:00am services and the monthly 5:00pm Choral Evensong service.

Hospitality Team

The Hospitality Team serves coffee, tea, and other refreshments after the 11:00 am services. Delicious cakes are also on sale.

Music Team

The music team provides contemporary music for the 5:00pm Wellspring service. Whether you play guitar, piano, or any other instrument, or if you enjoy singing, please consider joining the team. Practice is on Thursday evenings.

Readers in Church

Readers in Church are responsible for doing the Bible readings during our services.

Welcome Team

The Welcome Team greets people at the door during the 11:00am and 5:00pm services and makes them feel at home.
